50μm bare fiber consists of a central core which carries the light signal, a cladding material with a 125 um diameter and a soft plastic coating with a 250 um diameter. We supply single-mode and multimode 250 um bare fiber cables for high speed, VCSEL laser-based local area networks (LAN) and local access networks.
A simplex fiber only consists one single strand of glass of plastic fiber. Simplex signals are sent in one direction. It is much like what we said “one-way-street”. If a signal is transmitted from device A to device B over a simplex fiber optic cable, it cannot return from device B through the same cable.
Figure-8 Aerial Drop Cable is self-supporting cable, with the cable fixed to a steel wire, designed for easy and economical aerial installation for outdoor applications. This type of drop cable is fixed to a steel wire as showed in the following picture. Typical fiber counts of figure-8 Drop Cable are 2 to 48. Tensile load is typically 6000 Newtons.
Outdoor stranded loose tube combines the robust mechanical and environmental characteristics of an outside plant cable with the flexibility of an inside plant riser cable. By installing outdoor stranded loose tube, costly splice locations entering into a building are avoided, being routed directly from the outside plant to telecommunications closets.
